Interviews

Well I just finished up a real quick interview with Dr. Sara Thurston-Gonzalez.  She had some serious insight as to reasons why there is a huge increase in international students of late, however, her biggest help was to direct me to Jim Lewis who is the international student recruitment director.  I just sent Mr. Lewis an email asking for an interview time and I feel like he will be the last link I need to finish this print story.

We are still waiting to hear back from an English professor to see if we can go into her classroom to take pictures to create our soundslide.  I am confident that we are on the right track and I'm looking forward to sharing our project next week!

Update on Mathews and I

My how time has gotten away from me on this blog.  I apologize for taking so long between updates, it has been a hectic time of year for me.

Kyle and I met in the middle of last week to hash out the final aspects of our international students projects.  We have decided to go with the following aspects: print, video, soundslide, podcast, and interactive map.

A lot of our focus will be the experience that international students have here at Kansas State.  However, the video story will focus on a person who works closely with international students.

I am looking forward to the final project taking shape here!
